DO CHICKPEAS NEED TO BE COOKED BEFORE ROASTING?

Yes! Dried chickpeas will not soften if they are baked in the oven. You need to either use steamed cooked chickpeas, boiled chickpeas, or canned chickpeas.

TIPS TO MAKE THE BEST ARABIC 7 SPICES ROASTED CHICKPEAS

LINE TRAY WITH PARCHMENT OR A BAKING MAT. This will help the chickpeas (and that tasty 7 spices topping) from sticking to the tray!

TOSS CHICKPEAS IN OIL AND SEASONIONG BEFORE BAKING. Make sure chickpeas are evenly coated in oil and 7 spices seasoning.

STIR CHICKPEAS HALF WAY THROUGH BAKING. This ensures that chickpeas come out of the oven evenly brown and crispy.

EAT THE DAY OF! Roasted chickpeas are best fresh out of the oven and will lose their crispiness during storage.
