Sugar free crockpot apple butter is made with no sugar added! It is made with apples, apple cider vinegar, cinnamon, vanilla, cloves, nutmeg, and sea salt!
In a crockpot, add all of your ingredients: 6 chopped apples, ¼ cup apple cider vinegar, 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, ⅛ teaspoon ground nutmeg, ⅛ teaspoon ground cloves, and a pinch of pink sea salt. Cover your crockpot with a lid and cook on low heat for 5-6 hours.
After 5-6 hours, use an immersion blender to puree your apple butter completely.
Next, leave the lid off your crockpot and turn the heat to high. Allow your apple butter to cook for an additional 1-2 hours to thicken and caramelize.Stir every 30 minutes to prevent it from sticking to the sides.Store sugar free apple butter in the fridge for up to 3 weeks or the freezer for up to 1 year.
