The Most Soft & Fluffy Naan Bread

Delicious soft and fluffy naan bread is all about adding enough flour, but not too much. Mine is topped with Arabic Za'atar spices, but you can use any spice you like!

Let’s get started!

make the dough

For perfectly fluffy naan, only add enough flour so that the dough doesn't stick to your fingers.

rise the dough

Rise dough for 1 hour or until it is doubled in size before rolling it out.

Divide the dough

Divide dough into 10 pieces, or 15-20 for very small naan.

Roll into balls

Roll dough into balls. Rest on a floured countertop while you are rolling & cooking naan.

Roll out naan

Roll each ball of dough thin on floured countertop. Thin naan will give you those signature naan bubbles.

Cook naan

Naan cooks perfectly on a hot cast iron skillet with just a touch of oil.

Brush cooked naan with a bit of olive oil and sprinkle with za'atar. Enjoy!
