If you have picky eaters at home, my delicious cucumber smoothie recipe is tried and tested by toddlers and safe for babies up to kids too! Grab any blender that you have and let's make this!

IS A CUCUMBER SMOOTHIE GOOD FOR YOU?

Yes! Cucumber smoothies are excellent for you! With 1 cucumber smoothie you get 2 servings of fruits and a serving of vegetables on the go. Plus, you're getting healthy fats, protein and hydration from the yogurt and coconut water. Rosemary Squires, Registered Dietitian

    Cucumber Smoothie Benefits:

    • Weight loss
    • Reducing belly fat
    • Skin health
    • Hydration
    • Gut health
    • Hormone balance

WHAT FRUIT GOES GOOD WITH CUCUMBER?

Cucumber has a very subtle flavor unlike many other vegetables, so you can get creative when making a smoothie with cucumbers. Here I used two of my favorite smoothie fruits which are frozen pineapples and frozen bananas. These two fruits give a super sweet flavor!

Here are some other great fruits that go well with cucumbers in smoothies:

    • mango
    • blueberries
    • raspberries
    • cherries
    • peaches
    • strawberries
    • lime
    • lemon

SHOULD I PEEL A CUCUMBER FOR A SMOOTHIE?

No! When you peel the skin off the cucumber you're losing out on a ton of nutrients and fiber! Always leave the skin of cucumber on. Try to buy organic cucumbers when possible to decrease the pesticides your liver has to process.

HOW TO MAKE A SIMPLE CUCUMBER SMOOTHIE

Frequently asked questions about my delicious cucumber smoothie recipe.

WHAT SHOULD YOU NOT MIX IN A SMOOTHIE?

Smoothies are a way to pack in fruits and vegetables and can be super healthy! If you are new to smoothie making and want to keep your smoothie as healthy as possible here are,

6 things you should never add to your smoothie according to a Registered Dietitian

    1. Sweet and flavored plant milk (Add unnecessary sugar)

    3. Juice. (You're getting the full benefit by adding whole fruits instead!)
    4. Ice cream, sherbet, or frozen yogurt
