I love making in season smoothies with the fruit that is in season. Since it's winter here in New York, we have cranberries in season.
I prefer to buy frozen fruit in the fall and winter because it has more nutrients than fresh fruit this time of the year. Frozen fruit is picked fresh at it's peak ripeness and then quickly frozen so you can get all those healthy fruit benefits even in the cold months!

- full fat yogurt
- honey

WHAT FRUITS MIX WELL WITH FROZEN CRANBERRIES?
Cranberries are a very sour fruit, so you will want to mix them with sweet fruits like:
- ripe bananas
- pineapple
- mango
- dark cherries
CAN YOU PUT WHOLE FROZEN CRANBERRIES IN A BLENDER?
Yes! Cranberries do not have to be de-seeded and can be added directly into your blender.
HOW TO MAKE A DELICIOUS HEALTHY CRANBERRY SMOOTHIE AT HOME
My healthy cranberry smoothie is so easy to make and is the perfect on the go breakfast or snack! Make this smoothie in under 5 minutes. You can use any blender that you have.
step 1- add all ingredients to your blender
First add all the ingredients to your blender:
- 1 cup frozen cranberries
- 1 frozen banana
- ½ cup full fat yogurt
- 1 tablespoon raw honey
- 1-2 cups milk of choice
1 cup of milk will make your smoothie thicker, 2 cups of milk will make your smoothie thinner so make the consistency you like!
step 2- blend until pureed
Turn your blender on medium to high speed. Blend until your smoothie is totally pureed and you don't see any big chunks of cranberry or cranberry skin pieces left. It should look like this:
step 3- pour and enjoy!
Pour into a glass, or between two glasses if you want to drink less.

Is this cranberry smoothie good for UTI?
Yes! Unlike cranberry juice, which sometimes has a lot of added sugar, and is a processed form or cranberries, raw or frozen cranberries are excellent for UTI's. When you eat whole cranberries without sugar for UTI's you are getting all the UTI benefits from the cranberry.
Are cranberry smoothies good for weight loss?
Yes! Cranberry smoothies are excellent for weight loss. They are packed with fiber, nutrients, protein, and hydration. All of these help with gut health and in turn weight loss!
Is it healthy to eat raw cranberries?
Yes! When you eat cranberries raw, or frozen from ripe raw cranberries, you are getting the most out of the fruit. When cranberries are cooked or heated, the antioxidants and vitamin C starts to break down.
How do I make a cranberry smoothie with no banana?
If you want a cranberry smoothie with no banana, simply replace the banana in my recipe with 1 cup of pineapple, mango, or cherries.

Ingredients
- 1 cup frozen cranberries
- 1 ripe frozen banana
- 1 tablespoon raw honey
- ½ cup full fat yogurt
- 1 ½ cups milk of choice I use unsweetened soy milk
Instructions
- Add all ingredients for your cranberry smoothie into your blender.
- Blend on medium to high speed, scraping down the sides as needed, until your smoothie is completely pureed.
- Pour into a glass and enjoy!
