    November 26, 2019 by Rosemary 4 Comments

Super easy and healthy, this super greens powder smoothie recipe is my go to smoothie for a busy morning.

This is the best smoothie with greens powder recipe that I have ever made, it tastes just like sweet pineapple with no greens taste!

I love throwing super greens powder into my smoothies when I haven't been eating enough veggies that week. While super greens powder isn't as good as fresh whole veggies, because nothing beats that, it's definitely the next best thing, especially for picky eaters.

Want to learn how to make the best smoothies at home? Make sure to read my tutorial on how to make a smoothie at home!

CAN YOU ADD GREENS POWDER TO A SMOOTHIE?

Yes! The best way to use your super greens powder is to add it directly to your smoothie. The sweet taste of the fruit in the smoothie will taste so delicious and refreshing paired with the earthy super greens powder.

    SUPER GREENS POWDER SMOOTHIE INGREDIENTS

For this super easy smoothie with super greens powder, here's what you will need:

    • Your favorite super greens powder
    • Frozen pineapple
    • Frozen mango or banana
    • Full fat yogurt of choice
    • Unsweetened coconut water

IS IT OK TO DRINK GREENS POWDER EVERY DAY?

Yes! You can drink your greens powder every day, especially if you are someone who struggles to get enough fruits and vegetables into your diet. While I would definitely recommend trying to eat whole fruits & vegetables first, the super greens powder is definitely a great supplement.

IS DRINKING GREENS POWDER ACTUALLY GOOD FOR YOU?

There are numerous benefits of drinking greens powder smoothies, like:

    • Weight loss
    • Gut health
    • Skin health
    • Lowering inflammation
    • Balance hormones

Greens powders, so long as there are no added sugars or sugar alternatives, contain high levels of vitamins and minerals from the dried and powdered vegetables inside them. Check with the company to make sure that the vegetables aren't heated, which could destroy those benefits.

    STEP 2: BLEND!

Blend your super greens powder smoothie until it is totally smooth and you don't see any chunks of frozen fruit remaining.

Looking for an even more filling breakfast, try this super greens powder smoothie variation that I made with greens powder chia seed pudding!

How to make the greens powder chia seed pudding:

In the bottom of your serving glass, whisk together:

    • 2 tablespoons chia seeds
    • 1 tablespoon super greens powder
    • ½ cup milk

Whisk about 5 times in the first 5 minutes to prevent the greens powder chia seed pudding from becoming lumpy.

Make your super greens powder smoothie and pour on top of the green chia pudding. I made this green powder smoothie thick and vibrant by only using about ¼ cup coconut water and also I added in some moringa powder.

    Enjoy!

    FAQ's

Frequently asked questions about my smoothie with super greens powder.

What do you mix greens powder with?

Most powdered greens are dissolvable, making it super easy to mix into your favorite juice, tea, milk, or even water very easily. Some green powders can have a bitter taste, so my favorite way is to mix them into smoothies and chia seed puddings where the fruit masks the flavor of the greens.

Is it better to drink greens powder in the morning or at night?

As a registered dietitian and expert in gut health, I would recommend drinking greens powder first thing in the morning, even before you have had your coffee! This will get your good gut bacteria started right for the entire day ahead.

Does drinking greens help you lose weight?

Yes absolutely! I always recommend my weight loss clients to add more greens into their diet. Greens can help heal your gut, and provide your metabolism the nutrients that it needs to run properly. And bonus, greens are excellent for healthy glowing skin!

How to make it, simply whisk together the chia seeds, milk of choice, and more super greens powder. Whisk the chia pudding a couple times to prevent lumping and let sit for about 5 minutes to thicken.
For the thick super greens powder smoothie, simply use ⅛-1/4 cup coconut water instead of the 1 ½ cups. Pile on top of the chia pudding and enjoy!

Moringa is sooo good for you! It's good in a smoothie because the taste of the fruit takes over the flavor!!
