TIPS TO MAKE THE MOST DELICIOUS STARBUCKS GINGERBREAD LATTE RECIPE
USE FRESH SPICES. Good quality spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and cloves will give you that signature gingerbread taste.
USE BLACKSTRAP MOLASSES. Not only is blackstrap molasses the highest in nutrients, it also adds an amazing flavor to any gingerbread recipe. Don't skip the molasses in your gingerbread latte!
USE MILK OF CHOICE. Use any kind of milk that you like! I used unsweetened (organic) vanilla soy milk for a great subtle vanilla base flavor. But, you can use any kind that you want. If you have plain milk and want a nice little vanilla flavor, simply add 1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract to your healthy gingerbread latte syrup.
HOW TO MAKE A STARBUCKS GINGERBREAD LATTE AT HOME
My gingerbread latte for 1 can be made in 1 mug! No fuss no mess latte. 🙂
STEP 1: Make the gingerbread syrup with espresso
In a mug, add ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon, ½ teaspoon ground ginger, a dash of ground nutmeg, and a dash of ground cloves. Add 1 teaspoon of pure maple syrup if you want it to be sweeter (both ways taste great because the molasses is already pretty sweet).
Next, add the 1 tablespoon blackstrap molasses and the 2 shots of fresh brewed espresso.
Use a whisk or a hand held frother to combine completely.
STEP 2: Steam the milk
Steam milk until it is hot and frothy.
STEP 3: Pour
Pour milk into the gingerbread latte syrup mixture. Top with a bit more cinnamon and nutmeg.
Hope you enjoy this foamy creamy delicious gingerbread latte!
