I am always shocked at how much coffee shops charge for lattes. I mean, I get that frothing the milk and making the espresso takes a little more time than pouring a cup of coffee. But really, it should not be costing 5-7 dollars! Ever since we got our espresso machine, I have been making them at home! And let me tell you, we have saved so much money (even after subtracting the cost of the machine & beans!). Plus, coffee made at home is delicious and made exactly how you want it!

TIPS FOR HOW TO MAKE THE BEST ICED MAPLE LATTE AT HOME
USE FRESH QUALITY COFFEE BEANS. Fresh coffee beans are a must to get a perfect espresso shot.
FILL YOUR GLASS COMPLETELY WITH ICE. Keep your latte cold for longer with more ice cubes in a larger glass!
USE THE TYPE OF MILK YOU LIKE. Any type of milk works in this latte recipe.
ADD SWEETENER TO TASTE. Use the amount that you like!
ADD VANILLA EXTRACT TO MAKE A VANILLA LATTE. If you like vanilla lattes, simply add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract to your milk.
USE CINNAMON TO MAKE A MAPLE CINNAMON LATTE. Simply add cinnamon right on top of the espresso at the end for a starbucks copycat maple cinnamon oat milk latte!

HOW TO MAKE A MAPLE ICED LATTE RECIPE WITH AN ESPRESSO MACHINE
First, fill a glass to the top with ice.
Next, add the milk of choice almost all the way to the top.
Next, add a tablespoon of pure maple syrup.
Brew a double shot of espresso. Or, if you want less caffeine, brew a single shot. We use dark roast coffee in our espresso maker.
Pour your espresso over your milk.
Stir it in and enjoy!
By the way, did you know that a macchiato is basically an upside down latte? So technically I just made a macchiato with extra milk.
Another way you can make your latte, which is the traditional way is to add your shot of espresso first, then pour your milk over the espresso!
