    TIPS FOR MAKING THE BEST TROPICAL RAINBOW FRUIT SALAD WITH MINTY HONEY LIME DRESSING

    USE FRESH RIPE FRUIT. Make sure to use fresh ripe fruit for the best flavor. Don't use fruit that is hard & unripe, which will not have much flavor or a good texture.

    USE FRESH MINT. Fresh quality mint leaves give this homemade fruit salad its uniqueness. Mint fruit salad dressing makes it taste like a mojito fruit salad!

    SERVE THE DAY OF. My rainbow fruit salad is best eaten the day of.

    ONLY STORE FOR 1-2 DAYS. If you do have to store it, cover it with a lid and store it in the fridge for up to 2 days. The fruit that goes bad the fastest is the kiwi, so if you are storing it, leave the kiwi out until you're serving it.

    CAN I MAKE THIS RAINBOW FRUIT SALAD IN A JAR?

    Yes! This makes a great birthday party fruit salad! There are about 12 1 cup servings in this recipe, so make the salad in a big bowl, then divide it between 12 cups.

    HOW DO I MAKE A LAYERED RAINBOW FRUIT SALAD?

    If you want to show off the colors of the rainbow, you can easily layer this fruit salad in a big trifle dish! Instead of tossing all the fruit together, layer each color on top of each other in a trifle dish. Drizzle the lime mint dressing right over the top layer, it will trickle down.

    HOW DO I MADE A ORANGE HONEY RAINBOW FRUIT SALAD INSTEAD?

    If you want orange honey dressing, the substitution is easy! Simply replace the 2 limes for the juice and pulp of 1 orange. Leave the mint out. Blend the orange juice with ¼ cup of honey and pour over your fruit salad!

    HOW DO YOU KEEP FRUIT SALAD FROM TURNING BROWN?

    The main reason your fruit salad turns brown is because the wrong types of fruits were used. Some fruits are meant to be eaten immediately, like bananas and apples. But, if you really want to use bananas and apples in your fruit salad make sure to toss them with something very acidic like lemon juice.

    IS FRUIT SALAD LOW FODMAP?

    This fruit salad is low FODMAP in 1 cup servings. There are 12 teaspoons of honey in the dressing, honey is low FODMAP in 1 teaspoon servings. Eat this fruit salad in 1 cup servings, or leave the dressing off.

    MAKE MY RAINBOW FRUIT SALAD WITH HONEY MINT DRESSING

    Grab all your homemade fruit salad ingredients first before you get started! If you don't have any of the fruits in the recipe, or don't like them, simply swap them out for a fruit that you like.

    INGREDIENTS YOU NEED

    For the rainbow fruit salad you will need: 2 cups fresh strawberries, 2 fresh mangoes, 2 cups fresh pineapple, 4 kiwi, 2 cups blueberries, and 2 cups red grapes.

    For the honey lime mint dressing you will need: 1 cup fresh mint leaves, 2 limes, and ¼ cup raw manuka honey.

    • Cutting board
    • Sharp knife
    • Large bowl for mixing
    • Blender

    HOW TO MAKE A SIMPLE RAINBOW FRUIT SALAD RECIPE

    Chop all of your fruit. Add the fruit to a large mixing bowl.

    Make the honey lime dressing.

    HOW TO MAKE HOMEMADE HONEY LIME MINT SALAD DRESSING

    In a blender add 1 cup fresh mint leaves, the juice and pulp of 2 limes, and ¼ cup of raw honey. Blend to completely puree.

    Pour the dressing over your salad.

    Toss to completely coat the fruit in the dressing.
