CAN SNICKERS BE HEALTHY?
As a registered dietitian, I don't recommend eating snickers. Not only are they loaded with sugars, but they are also packed with artificial ingredients that are not good for you. If you love snickers, this healthy mini snickers recipe is perfect and will satisfy your sweet tooth.
WHAT MAKES SNICKERS UNHEALTHY?
Snickers bars are very high in refined salt, processed fat, and bleached white sugar. There really is no nutritional benefit of them, aside from what you get from the couple of peanuts in them.
HOW MANY CALORIES IN A BITE SIZE SNICKERS?
A bite sized snickers has about 44 calories.
HOW TO MAKE NO BAKE SNICKERS BITES AT HOME
STEP 1: MAKE THE NOUGAT BASE
In a small mixing bowl, combine the ingredients for the healthy snickers bite nougat base.
- 1 ¼ cup oat flour
- ¼ cup almond flour
- ⅓ cup pure maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon sea salt
If you do not have oat flour, simply add whole rolled oats to a blender or food processor and blend on high speed until the oats are finely pureed then add to your mixing bowl.
Mix the ingredients well to combine and then divide evenly between 24 mini cupcake tins, or any small candy mold. Make sure to line them with cupcake paper.
Using wet hands so the batter doesn't stick to your fingers, press the nougat base into the bottom of the cupcake paper.
STEP 2: MAKE THE "CARAMEL" FILLING
In another small mixing bowl, combine the ingredients for the caramel.
- ¾ cup peanut butter or cashew butter
- ¼ cup maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon sea salt
Divide the caramel on top of the nougat base. Place the snickers bites in the freezer to firm up and chill while you melt the chocolate for the topping.
STEP 3: MAKE THE DARK CHOCOLATE TOPPING
In a glass dish, melt the 1 cup of dark chocolate with 1 tablespoon coconut oil in the microwave. Stir every 30 seconds to prevent the chocolate from burning.
Divide the chocolate evenly on top of the caramel. Place in the freezer to set the chocolate, and enjoy!

I want so much to make these, but oats (even certified GF oats) seriously upset my digestive tract. Can I substitute another flour/or a mix of 2 flours?
Rosemary
yes! Almond flour would be an excellent sub!
