BEACH BUCKET COCKTAIL INGREDIENTS
This malibu bucket is SO easy to make! I love these bucket drinks because they're totally customizable and you can add all sorts of fruit juices. Here is what I added to mine:
- Lots of ice!
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1 ½ cup pineapple juice
- 10 ounces sparkling lime water
- 4 shots Malibu coconut rum
- Juice of 2 limes
WHAT IS A RUM BUCKET?
Rum bucket drinks are exactly what they sound like! A very large rum cocktail served in a beach bucket! You can sip these alone, or share with your friends!
HOW DO YOU MAKE A SAND BUCKET COCKTAIL?
STEP 1: FILL WITH ICE
Grab 2 sand buckets and fill them almost to the top with ice. The bigger the ice cubes, the better because they'll stay cold longer and melt slower!
STEP 2: ADD JUICE & FLAVORINGS
Next, add 1 cup orange juice, 1 ½ cup pineapple juice, and a can or 10 ounces of sparkling water to each bucket. If you have any other flavors you prefer, like coconut water add that instead!
Juice 1-2 limes into each bucket and add the whole juiced lime for more flavor (and a cute easy drink garnish).
STEP 3: ADD RUM & ENJOY!
Finally add 4 shots of Malibu coconut rum to each sand bucket. Stir really well and enjoy!
Hope you guys love this one! Happy Independence day!
FAQ's
Frequently asked questions about beach bucket cocktails and some changes you can make!
How much alcohol is in a rum bucket?
My rum beach bucket cocktails are made with 4 shots of rum, which is about 4 drinks in each bucket. You can make them stronger by adding more rum (& share with friends!), or you can make them weaker and only use ½ the rum.
Can I make this bucket drink with vodka instead?
Yes! If you prefer vodka, or even tequila simply replace the coconut rum with 4 shots of top shelf vodka, my favorite is grey goose. Or, replace with 4 shots of patron tequila. If you still want the coconut flavor, make sure to add in about ½ cup coconut water.
