I first made this delicious winter cocktail with St Germain on Christmas and then made it after the new year with a few different ingredients. And oh my gosh my husband went out to get more ingredients because he loved it so much!

ST GERMAIN COCKTAIL INGREDIENTS
Winter in New York means skiing and spending a lot of time keeping warm indoors. We love experimenting with cocktails in the winter using seasonal ingredients like rosemary and cranberries!

- St Germain (Elderflower Liqueur)
- Rosemary Simple Syrup
- Cranberry Juice
- Fresh Lemon Juice
WHAT KIND OF ALCOHOL IS ST GERMAIN?
St Germain is a French liqueur made with elderflowers. This delicious elderflower cocktail has an exquisitely natural flavor. According to the St Germain website, each bottle of St Germain contains up to 1,000 hand picked elderflower blossoms!
WHAT DOES ST GERMAIN TASTE LIKE?
St Germain is the most delicious unique liqueur. It tastes like nothing else out there. The flavor is very sweet, light, floral and very fragrant. St Germain itself smells like a delicious bouquet of spring flowers. Imagine that inside a cocktail.
HOW TO MAKE A ST GERMAIN VODKA COCKTAIL
My St Germain vodka cocktail is so easy to whip up in no time when you want a quick after work drink! Or happy hour! Definitely don't skip making the rosemary simple syrup. It is so easy to make and you're most likely to have the ingredients.
STEP 1: MAKE THE ROSEMARY SIMPLE SYRUP
This St Germain cocktail with rosemary is so delicious do not use plain old simple syrup. The subtle taste of rosemary pairs so perfectly with the lemon and the floral st Germain.
HOW TO MAKE ROSEMARY SIMPLE SYRUP FOR YOUR ST GERMAIN DRINK
In a small saucepan add:
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons dried rosemary
Bring this mixture to a boil and let it boil for 1 minute. Turn off the heat and then strain the rosemary simple syrup through a small mesh drink strainer into a glass container.
Let your syrup cool completely before using it in your St Germain cocktail recipe below.
STEP 2: MAKE THE COCKTAIL
I love how this St Germain cocktail comes together. The floral notes in the St Germain, the citrus from the lemon and cranberry and the subtle earthiness from the rosemary syrup. It is by far my favorite cocktail recipe of all time.
The best part, this winter cocktail is SO easy to make. Grab your cocktail shaker and add these ingredients to make 2 St Germain cocktails:
- 4 oz grey goose vodka
- 2 oz st Germain
- 4 oz rosemary simple syrup
- 2 oz cranberry juice
- Juice of 2 lemons
Add a couple of ice cubes. Cover your drink shaker and shake until your cocktail shaker is frosty on the outside!
STEP 3: SERVE AND ENJOY!
If you want a really easy and pretty way to serve your cocktail, run one of the lemon peels along the edge of your glass. Dip the glass in sugar and tap off the excess sugar. Easy and gorgeous sugared rim!
Fill your glasses to the top with ice. Divide the St Germain cranberry cocktail evenly between your two glasses and enjoy! Cheers!
