My simple 3 ingredient watermelon mocktail recipe is so easy to make and super healthy for you!
- Frozen watermelon
- Fresh lime juice
- Sparking lime water or Kombucha
You can use any brand or flavor of sparkling water that you like here. For your watermelon mocktail to be really healthy, make sure to choose a brand that does not use any sugar or artificial sweeteners.
WHAT CAN I DO WITH A LOT OF WATERMELON?
There are so many things you can make with a lot of watermelon. First, I like to freeze my watermelon so I have it handy and ready to go for my cold summer watermelon recipes. I love making watermelon smoothies, watermelon smoothie bowls, and even popsicles!
If you have a big watermelon and have not frozen it yet, it also tastes great in a big juicy summer fruit salad.
CAN YOU FREEZE WATERMELON?
Yes! Watermelon freezes really well and the sweet flavor is preserved to use for months! Here are my tips for how to freeze watermelon:
- First is a no brainer, choose the most sweet juicy watermelon for the best flavor
- Second, cut your watermelon into chunks
- And finally, freeze it flat. Do not overlap watermelon or the chunks will get stuck together.
HOW TO MAKE A FROZEN WATERMELON MOCKTAIL
My healthy non alcoholic watermelon margarita is so easy to make you'll be wanting this one all summer long!
STEP 1 FREEZE WATERMELON
First, freeze cubed watermelon flat. I like to freeze it overnight but if you are in a rush you can definitely do with just a couple hours.
STEP 2 BLEND WATERMELON MOCKTAIL
Next, in your blender add:
- 4 cups frozen watermelon chunks
- Juice of 1 lime
- 10 ounces sparkling lime water or kombucha
Blend until your frozen watermelon margarita mocktail is totally smooth and there are no frozen watermelon chunks left.
STEP 3 SERVE AND ENJOY!
Divide your frozen watermelon margarita mocktail between two glasses. Enjoy!
This recipe is great for poolside sipping as it melts very slowly and is so cold!
