    Watermelon slushie! My healthy watermelon slushie recipe is so easy to make! This delicious and refreshing watermelon slushie is made with just three simple ingredients! Grab your blender and lets make this frozen watermelon drink.

    I don't know about you but I look forward to summer all year long for fresh juicy ripe watermelon. Watermelon is definitely a household favorite over here. Sometimes we buy so much watermelon and are left with some so we freeze it for delicious frozen watermelon drinks.

    If you are looking for an alcoholic watermelon slush, I included a recipe below on how to make a watermelon slushie with alcohol for a fun summer cocktail with watermelon!

    WATERMELON SLUSHIE INGREDIENTS

    My 3 ingredient watermelon slushie is so easy to make and super healthy for you!

    • Frozen watermelon
    • Fresh lime juice
    • Sparking lime water, or your favorite flavor

    You can use any brand or flavor of sparkling water that you like here. For your watermelon slush to be really healthy, make sure to choose a brand that does not use any sugar or artificial sweeteners.

    WHAT CAN I DO WITH A LOT OF WATERMELON?

    There are so many things you can make with a lot of watermelon. First, I like to freeze my watermelon so I have it handy and ready to go for my cold summer watermelon recipes. I love making watermelon smoothies, watermelon smoothie bowls, and even popsicles!

    If you have a big watermelon and have not frozen it yet, it also tastes great in a big juicy summer fruit salad.

    CAN YOU FREEZE WATERMELON?

    Yes! Watermelon freezes really well and the sweet flavor is preserved to use for months! Here are my tips for how to freeze watermelon:

    • First is a no brainer, choose the most sweet juicy watermelon for the best flavor
    • Second, cut your watermelon into chunks
    • And finally, freeze it flat. Do not overlap watermelon or the chunks will get stuck together.

    HOW TO MAKE A HEALTHY WATERMELON SLUSHIE AT HOME

    My healthy slushie is so easy to make you'll be wanting this one all summer long!

    STEP 1 FREEZE WATERMELON

    First, freeze cubed watermelon flat. I like to freeze it overnight but if you are in a rush you can definitely do with just a couple hours.

    STEP 2 BLEND WATERMELON SLUSHIE

    Next, in your blender add:

    • 4 cups frozen watermelon chunks
    • Juice of 1 lime
    • 10 oz sparkling lime water

    Blend until your slushie is totally smooth and there are no frozen watermelon chunks left.

    STEP 3 SERVE AND ENJOY!

    Divide your frozen watermelon slushie between two glasses. Enjoy!

    This recipe is great for poolside sipping as it melts very slowly and is so cold!

    How do I make a watermelon slushie cocktail?

    If you want to make an alcoholic slush instead, here are some fun ideas.

    • VODKA WATERMELON SLUSHIE- Add all of the above ingredients plus 2 shots of high quality vodka.
    • RUM WATERMELON SLUSHIE- Add all of the above ingredients plus 2 shots of high quality rum.
    • WATERMELON WINE SLUSHIE- Add 4 cups frozen watermelon, juice of 1 lime plus 10 oz of your favorite white wine or champagne.

    Can I make a watermelon slushie with sprite?

    Yes, you can use sprite in place of the sparkling water. Just keep in mind sprite has a lot more sugar so it will not be a healthy slushie anymore.

    How do I make a watermelon mint slushie recipe?

    Simply add 1 sprig of fresh spearmint along with the other ingredients before blending. Blend and enjoy!
