    Beetroot latte. My warm and frothy beetroot latte is the perfect warm drink without the caffeine. It is made with delicious beetroot powder, milk of choice, and sweetener if you want it!

    This beetroot latte is a great warming drink to make when you don’t need any more caffeine. We all know that too much caffeine can mess up your sleep schedule and lead to dehydration. And no one wants either of those.

    My beetroot latte is made just the same as my matcha and golden milk lattes. All you have to do is steam milk and whisk it into beetroot powder. If you like a sweeter taste, you can add a sweetener to the mix. I like to use honey or maple syrup in my pink latte sometimes.

    WHAT IS BEETROOT LATTE MIX?

    Beetroot latte is made from milk, beetroot powder, and optional sweetener like maple syrup. Beetroot powder is simply dried and finely ground sweet beets.

    Beetroot powder has a very sweet fruity flavor. It tastes so delicious mixed with warm frothy milk.

    This pink latte can be made with cold milk and poured over ice. Just whisk or blend beetroot powder into milk of choice and then pour it over a glass filled with ice.

    BEETROOT LATTE HOW TO MAKE

    Step 1: Make the beetroot paste

    Start by mixing ½ of a teaspoon of beetroot powder into a splash of milk at the bottom of a mug. This will ensure that there are no powdery chunks of beetroot powder in your latte! If you are using sweetener, whisk it in now.

    I used flax milk in this recipe, but you can use the milk that you prefer! Set your mug aside while you steam the milk.

    Step 2: Steam the milk

    For this you can either use a hand held steamer, or the steamer attachment of your espresso machine.

    How to make beetroot latte in a blender: Another way to get a frothy texture if you don’t have either of those is with a blender! You can skip the first step if you are making it this way. All you have to do is heat your milk in the microwave or over the stove and then add all ingredients into a blender. Blend until it is smooth and no chunks of the beetroot powder are left. Pour into your latte mug and enjoy!

    Step 3: Pour your beetroot latte

    If you used the steamer method, you can now pour your steamed milk over the paste you made with the beetroot powder and milk.

    First, whisk about half of your steamed milk into the paste. Then pour the rest of your milk!

    • ½ teaspoon beet root powder
    • 1 ½ cups steamed flax milk **

    • 1 teaspoon maple syrup

    Instructions
     

    • Whisk the beet root powder into a splash of your milk in the bottom of a mug.
    • Steam your milk.
    • Pour your milk over your beet root powder.
    • Enjoy immediately!
