Dirty Iced Golden Milk Latte. Golden Milk Latte with Espresso is super refreshing and healthy for you! This anti inflammatory golden milk recipe is a great way to get an energy boost in the morning with some extra healthy benefits!

My Golden Milk Latte with Espresso Recipe is:

    • Refreshing
    • Anti-Inflammatory drink
    • Boosts energy
    • Get the benefits of golden milk

If you liked my dirty iced matcha latte, then you're going to love this dirty iced golden milk latte! I have been obsessed with making all my favorite drinks "dirty" ever since we bought an espresso machine. Dirty is basically just the coffee shop way of saying add a shot of espresso!

If you love golden milk recipes and want to save some serious money, you can easily make your own golden milk latte mix right at home!

WHAT IS A DIRTY GOLDEN MILK LATTE?

A dirty golden latte, similar to my dirty matcha latte recipe, is a blended golden milk latte base topped with fresh brewed espresso.

CAN YOU ADD ESPRESSO TO GOLDEN MILK?

If you're wondering if you can add turmeric latte the answer is, yes absolutely! Whether you are drinking your golden milk latte hot or iced, adding espresso on top is so delicious.

If you do not have espresso maker you can simply top your golden milk latte with coffee instead! The stronger brewed coffee will be more similar to espresso.

DOES A TURMERIC LATTE HAVE ESPRESSO?

No, the traditional way to make a turmeric latte is with just turmeric mix and milk. So turmeric lattes are traditionally caffeine free and can be enjoyed at any time of day.

HOW TO MAKE A DIRTY GOLDEN MILK LATTE WITH ESPRESSO

Whether you call it a dirty turmeric latte, a turmeric latte with espresso, or a golden milk latte with espresso the recipe is the same! It is so easy to whip up in no time for a healthy morning coffee recipe.

STEP 1: MAKE THE ICED GOLDEN MILK LATTE

First, mix 1 teaspoon of my latte mix with maple syrup. I found that mixing it with the syrup first helps to incorporate the powder into the milk.

golden milk latte in a glass mixed into maple syrup using a fork

Next, stir in your milk and a lot of ice! I like to use soy or coconut milk in most of my iced latte recipes. But, you can use the type of milk that you love!

Here we have an iced golden milk latte. You can totally drink this without the espresso. It is delicious this way too!

If you have a milk frother, you can use it instead of a fork to whip the golden milk and sweetener into your coffee fast!

STEP 2: BREW ESPRESSO TO MAKE A DIRTY TURMERIC LATTE

This iced golden milk is so delicious on its own. But really, my favorite part is firing up the espresso machine.

using an espresso macihne to make espresso

We use a Breville espresso machine. It is on the pricier side, around $700. But, when we did the math, we realized that the machine already paid for itself in 6 months. My husband would stop at Starbucks and buy a coffee and croissant every single day before work.

And then you add up how much I would spend on soy milk lattes. Which, are insanely expensive by the way. So if you add up how much that costs, and subtract the cost of coffee beans and milk... we have already saved $700 since we bought it in September!

Here is the link to our espresso maker on Amazon in case you wanted to check it out:

Especially if you or your partner had a coffee habit like us. 🙂

Now, pour your perfect double shot of espresso over your golden latte and make it dirty!

You can also make this as a hot drink and just completely skip the ice part!

Hope you enjoy this drink as much as I did! And if you have any requests for how to make a coffee drink at home, please leave me a comment below!

    FAQ'S

More frequently asked questions about my golden milk latte with espresso.

IS GOLDEN MILK GOOD WITH COFFEE?

Yes! Golden milk mixed with coffee is a great drink to try! This iced drink is perfect to sip on a hot summer day with notes of cinnamon and cardamom that pair perfectly with the flavor of coffee.

    WHEN TO DRINK GOLDEN MILK?

If you are looking for an energy boost in the morning, my golden milk latte with espresso is the way to go. But, if you want something warm and calming at night, drink a golden milk latte at night with no coffee in it.

You can easily make your caffeine free golden milk latte with an espresso machine. First, whisk 1 teaspoon of golden milk mix into 1 tablespoon of honey. Next, froth 1- 1 ½ cups of milk with your espresso machine milk frother. Then, pour the warm frothed milk into your golden milk mix.

I like to pour half the warm milk into the honey/ golden milk paste, whisk it up, and then pour the other half of the warm milk on top. This way, there will be no golden milk powder left on the bottom of your cup.
